He made his last will on May 19, 1768, in which he gave the names of hisparents and of his wife, followed by his eight sons and five daughters:Jose, Gertrudis, Bernardo, Luis, Fernando, Isabel, Antonio, MariaFrancisca, Maria Antonia, Juan, Vicente, Maria and Francisco. Of thegirls, Gertrudis married Francisco Silva and Maria Antonia married TadeoRomero and later a Domingo Baca.
The sons are as follows: Jose married Luisa de Aragon, February 3, 1732;Bernardo married an apacha, Maria Benavides, and then his first cousin'swidow, Maria Josefa Nunez; Luis married Eduarda Yturrieta, April 20,1747; Fernando married Antonia Sanchez and francisco married MariaGertrudis Alvarez de Castillo, April 6, 1756.

Francisco Silva married Rosa (Gertrudis) Durán y Chavez on September 12,1729. [AASF, M-3, Albq]. She died on April 17, 1763, at the age offorty-three. [AASF, B-2, Albq]. Their known children were: JuanFrancisco, born September 10, 1731; MarÃa Barbara, January 14, 1734;Juan, January 6, 1736, [all in AASF, B-2, Albq] who married Ana Lucero in1769 [AASF, DM. 1769, Albq, no number]; MarÃa Agustina, September 9,1739, who married Pedro Tafoya; [All three in AASF, B-57, Isleta].; MarÃaVictoria, January 2, 1749; and Ana MarÃa, who married Mariano Lucero in1776. Francisco Silva (de Silba) was in the Albuquerque area prior to 1730. Hewas born in 1699 and was married to Rossa Gertrudis de Duran y Chavez onApril 24, 1729. They had six children known at present as follows: JuanFrancsico Silva (de Silba) baptized in 9-10-1731; Maria Barbara Silva (deSilba) baptized 1-14-1734; Juan Jose Silva (de Silba) baptized 1-06-1736;Maria Agustina Silva (de Silba) baptized 9-09-1739; Maria Victoria Silva(de Silba) baptized l-02-1749; Ana Maria Silva (de Silba).

In 1719 Nicolas acted as a pre-nuptial witness giving his age astwenty-six, hence born at El Paso del Norte around the year 1686. He wasthe sixth son of Don Fernando, and also residing with the family inAtrisco when he took the third on of the Montaño sisters to wife. Hername was Juana Montaño. This took place on July 20, 1714, when theyalready had at least one boy who was four years old. It had taken herthat much more time to get her Chavez man. It could also have been aturbulent union for a time, since once, after he gave her a beating, shetried walking all the way to her own folks in Santa Fe before nicolascaught up with her at Bernalillo. Yet they managed to produce a verylarge family of which we have a complete list, thanks to the extant willwhich he drew up on May 19, 1768. In it he stated the names of hisparents, his wife, and the following eight sons and four daughtersaccording to their ages: Jose, Gertrudis, Bernardo, Luis, Fernanado,Isabel, Antonio, MarÃa Antonia, Juan, Vicente, MarÃa and Francisco.
