      Aabel Gridley was in Parish, Ssouthington Conn., later in Harwinton. During the Revolutionarry War he assisted in the establishment of American independence. During the war he was assigned as follows;
      Private in Captain Samuel Wylis's camp (2nd) Continental Line, Hartford, Conn.
      In Geneeral Spencer's regiment, which was at Bunker Hill in 1775.
      In Captain Stanley's camp in 1776, Frmington, Conn.
