    • Adonijah Rice was the first white male born in Worcester, Massachusetts.
      He was in the military circa 1755 serving in the French and Indian War, as a member of Capt. Andrew Dalrymple's company for five months, ending 12 Dec. 1755.
      In 1756 he was a sergeant in the company, "age 43, cooper, born and resident of Worcester.
      He resided before 1802 at Bridport, VT, with his son, Abel, whom he survived.
