    • From the History of Osage County: John Marquand was born on the Isle of Guernsey, which is situated in the English Channel, where he was reared and grew to maturity, and then, in company with his brother Charles and three cousins, immigrated to the United States in 1806.

      John Marquand was married to Martha Parker, March 19, 1819. The two brothers located in Coshocton County, Ohio, where John married and spent the remainder of his life, his death occurring in middle life, about the year 1839.
