Notes - Andreas was born 1746 and was baptized in Widen, Germany on 2 Oct 1746, sponsors were: Andreas LaHoy, the government manager compounds son, and Anna Maria, the widow of David Fitzinger. He came with his family in 1751 from Germany when he was 7 years old, and settled in Frederick Co., Maryland.

Andreas purchased some of his father's land and some farm land on the edges of what is now called Jefferson, Maryland, 12 miles south of Frederick, Maryland.

Andraes moved to Donegal Township in Westmoreland, Co., PA (which later became Fayette Co.) in 1796 deeding his house in Jefferson to his son Andrew. Until his death, Andreas occupied the land in PA, which he opened out and cultivated, and on which he raised his family.
He also owned a lot in what is now Washington, DC. His son Jacob obtained that lot in Washington, DC by paying the back taxes that accumulated on it when Andrew died in 1809.
