- Notes for "Fiddler" Francis D. Kelly:
Francis (Frank) was shown in the family bible to have married Mary Lee (unknown as to possible relation to Fernando's). This must have happened before 11 Feb 1891. The bible appeared to state that they were divorced on 13 May 1898: "Divorced, wife duly notified". It also APPEARED to state that she died 3 Oct 1896. It is unlikely both are true.
Frank then married Maude A. Adams (she remarried after Frank died to Lewis Hackard and she died 15 Oct 1969
in Redding).
They had:
Roy D., b. 16 Jan 1903, d. 1971 in CA
Minnie Aleana b. 8 Jul 1909 in Ca, d. 2 Mar 1981 in Colusa. Minnie Married a Mr. Johnson. I know nothing more about her.

Roy married Hope Lavinia Cummings, b. 24 Sep 1903 in Redding, d. 21 Sep 1972 in Colusa on 27 Jun 1926 in Shasta Co. They had 5 children:

Ruth, b. 21 Jun 1928 in Redding, d. 14 Mar 1987 in Colusa,
3 more girls (living),
and the youngest a boy, Richard that still lives in Sacramento, I think.

Frank lived his last few years at 2285 Bridge St. Oroville Ca, at his brother's place in the back yard, in a small trailer. He took a pain killers for a kidney condition in his last years. C.L. Kelly, his brother buried him in the cemetery south of Oroville, his nephew had a marker placed on his grave.
He was a pretty good fiddle player and played for dances for years.
Follwing his death, his second wife married Mr. Louis Hackard. Their last known address was Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hackard 1225 West Street Redding Ca. 96001. This was July 24, 1968 and they were 85 years old. Her name was Maude.
