- Conrad was a soldier in the Revolution, serving in capt. Thomas Buck's Company of the 8th Virginia Regt., and was a Colonel in the War of 1812. He died of yellow fever in 1814.

Coonrod Hansberger, for 87 yds. woolen cloth, colored blue, at 7s. 6d. a yard, Jan. 16, 1781.

During the Revolution Coonrad Hansberger had a woolen mill on elk run, site of Elkton.

I. Conrad Harnesberger, born November 15, 1756. My wife Anna Barbara Mullern was Born January 10, 1757, and we both having entered the holy bonds of matrimony. September 14, 1778. Anna B., the daughter of Heinrich Mullern and Ann Elizabeth Mullern was born in the province of VA., in the year 1757, January 10 and was married in the year of our Lord, 1778, September 14, with Conrad Hernsberger.

1. Anna Elizabeth Hernsberger, born September 4, in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 1779. The witnesses to the baptism were her grandparents Heinrich Mullern and his wife Elizabeth.
2. Jacob Hernsberger was born September 21, in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 1781. Witnesses to the baptism were Heinrich Mullern and wife.
3. George Hernsberger was born December 14, in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 1783. Witnesses to the baptism were the father and mother themselves.
4. Anna Catherine Hernsberger was born January 14, in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1786. Witnesses to the baptism were Adam Preiss and his wife.
5. Anna Barbara Hernsberger was born the 10 day of August in the year of our Lor and Saviour Jesus Christ, 1788. Witness to the baptism, the grandmother, Elizabeth Mullern
6. Johannes Hernsberger was born the 15 day of 1791.
7. The 18th day of March 1794 a daughter is born to me and her name is Pava Hernsberger ( or Sarah, or Sally).
8. Margarita Hernsberger was born the 1st day of September in the year of our Lord, 1796.
9. Susanna Ursula Hernsberger was born on the 25th day of February in the year of our Lord, 1801.
