Notes:

Robert was the son of John. It appears he removed to Worburn and was freeman in 1650. Robert was a farmer. Robert and Mary together had 7 children :
1. Judith, 30 Sept. 1651-1689; had Miriam, born 1689.
2. Mary, 21 Jan. 1653-1695; married 1672, John Walker, 1644-1723; three children. He married 1 696, Bethia Simonds by whom he had two children.Woburn.
3. Nathaniel, 4 Dec. 1655-1692; married 1677, Hannah, 1660-1679, daughter of Allen Converse of Woburn. Married 2nd 1680, Mrs. Elizabeth Foster, probably daughter of "Sergt." Thomas Peirce of Woburn, widow of Thomas Whittemore and of Hopestill Foster. (See, descendants of Thomas Pierce.)
4. Elizabeth, born 6 Mar. 1658; married 1682, Samuel, 1658-1729, son of John Wilson, Sr.; seven children.
5. Jonathan, 2 Feb. 1663-1694; married 1689, Hannah Wilson, 1672-1726, sister of Samuel.
5. John, married Lydia (???).
6. Benjamin, born probably 1667; died 1715; married 1693, Hannah, died 1746, daughter of Jerahmeel Bowers of Cambridge. She married 1718,William Wilson of Concord, died 1741.
7. Joseph, 1 May 1672-1749; married Ruth (???), died 1712. Married 2nd, Mary (???).

Robert married KNIGHT, Mary 16 Oct 1645, Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Mary (daughter of KNIGHT, John and PICKERING, Mary) was born 14 Jul 1620, Of Romsey, Southampton, Hampshire, England; died 18/18 Mar 1701/1702, Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

John was of Norwich, Norfolk County, England, and a weaver by trade. He emigrated to Watertown, Massachusetts in the year 1637, bringing with him his wife Elizabeth and four children, "John, Barbre, Elizabeth and Judeth." He came to America in either the "John and Dorethy" of Norwich, or the "Rose" of Yarmouth. William Andrews, Sr., was master of the former vessel and his son of the latter. Some of his children must have come to this country before John and the above named were probably the four youngest of the family. John was born about 1588 and died August 19, 1661. In 1636 the age of his wife was given as 36, but must have been near that of her husband as she died March 12, 1666-7, "aged about 79." All of their children were born in England.

3. Mary, married Clement Coldam, died 1705
4. Robert, 1620-1706; married Mary, died 1702, daughter of John Knight of Charlestown.
5. John, married Elizabeth of Watertown.
6. Barbre, named above, may have died on the passage over as nothing further is known of her.
7. Elizabeth, died before 1665; married 1643, John Ball, Jr. He was killed by the Indians 1665 ; five children.
8. Judith, married 1645, Francis Wyman, 1617-1699; she died before Oct. 2, 1650, when he married Abigall Read.

John married ELIZABETH 22 Apr 1610, England. was born Abt 1588, England; died 12/12 Mar 1666/1667, Probably Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

John was a "maltster & carpenter" from Romsey in Hampshire, England. Following his immigration he was listed as "John of Watertown" and was admitted freeman in 1636. In 1642, he was proprietor of a homestall, and 14 other lots of land in Watertown. In1651, he bought of John Wetherill, a house in Sudbury Mar. 3, 1651-2, John Knight and wife Mary, sold to Thomas Underwood, late of Dorchester, ten parcels of land in Watertown. John was admitted to Charlestown Church on June 14, 1668. From the will of John Knight of Charlestown, made 14 Feb. 1673, of which we see not the day of probate but find the inventory of 1 June 1674, we find no other related names but Elizabeth and Abigail, daughters of his son John, son-in-law Robert Peirce of Woburn, and the husband of his own daughter Mary, and makes overseer, his friend and br. (but this means only, I judge, the church relationsh.) John Chickering who was a physician.
John and Mary had the following children;

2. John b ca 1622; d December 1, 1714 in Charlestown; m 1st Rissanah Johnson April 25, 1654; 2nd Abigail Stovers; 3rd 1668 Mary Bridge; 4th 1676 Mary Clements; 5th Sarah Hawksworth.
3. Joseph abt. 1629-1694; m Hannah Lamb dau of Abiel
4. Michael m 1657 Mary Bullard; lived in Cambridge
5. Samuel m 1685 Sarah How, widow of Roxbury
