Francisco Silva (de Silba) was in the Albuquerque area prior to 1730. He was born in 1699 and was married to Rossa Gertrudis de Duran y Chavez on April 24, 1729. They had six children known at present as follows: Juan Francsico Silva (de Silba) baptized in 9-10-1731; Maria Barbara Silva (de Silba) baptized 1-14-1734; Juan Jose Silva (de Silba) baptized 1-06-1736; Maria Agustina Silva (de Silba) baptized 9-09-1739; Maria Victoria Silva (de Silba) baptized l-02-1749; Ana Maria Silva (de Silba).

Antonio de Silva, the son of Salvador, was a twenty-three year old native of Queretaro who joined the colonists of 1693. He had a round dark face, large eyes, and a sharp nose. His wife, Gregoria Ruiz, the daughter of Juan, and born in Mexico City, was twenty-two, with a broad and pockmarked face. Antonio was a blacksmith by trade. They brought a daughter, Gertrudis, three years old, born in Mexico City; she had a round face, big eyes and a small nose. Antonio first settled in Santa Cruz, where he received a grant of land, and also bought additional property between Santa Cruz and Chimayó. [Spanish Archives, I, Nos. 819, 820]. But at the turn of the century he moved down to Bernalillo and thence to Albuquerque, where he died on May 25, 1732. His widow followed on December 8, 1736. [AASF, B-2, Albuq.].

Their known children were as follows: Gertrudis, who came with them from New Spain, married Geronimo Jaramillo. Manuel, married Josefa Montoya. [AASF, DM, 1717, No. 3]. Francisco married Gertrudis D. y Chavez. Felipe, born May 13, 1704, [AASF, B-13, Bern.] married Juana Gallego. María was born on August 10, 1706. [AASF, B-2, Albuq.] Francisca Xaviera, born on February 2, 1710 [AASF, B-2, Albuq.], married Bernardo Vallejo in 1725 [AASF, DM, 1725, No. 2]. Micaela married Antonio Vallejo in 1718 [AASF, DM 1718, No. 7]. Jose married Rosa Baca, and Juana became the first wife of Diego Antonio D. y Chavez.
