Notes:

About 1774 William was a Captain of a company from Augusta Co., Virginia in Dunmore's War, and was said to have been present at the battle of Point Pleasant.

In April 1778 he was one of the first justices of Rockingham Co., Virginia.

On April 27, 1781 he was sworn in as lieut. colonel of the Rockingham Militia.

In 1781 William was recorded as a member of the Continental Congress, representing Rockingham Co., Virginia.

Martin NALLE, was transported on a boat which sailed to the colony of Virginia a few months before March 1701/02 along with 61 others, by Chicheley Corbin Thacker, for which Mr.Thacker was granted 3080 acres of land.
(Thacker grant of 3080 ACs for the importation of 62 persons to VA of whom are included Martin Nalle (NFA,B.) and an unidentified Abigall Nolls).

In 1705 Martin was a witness on a deed from James Boughan to Richard and William Holt.

Martin bought 194 acres from James Boughan for 7000 lbs. tobacco. (Deed dated: January 9, 1713/14).

In the name of God Amen the ninth day of Aprill I Martin Nall of the County of Essex and Parish of south farnham being very sick and weak but in Perfect sense and memory Praise be given to the Almighty God for the same knowing the uncertainty of the Life on Earth do make and appoint this to be my last will and Testament revoking all other wills by me formerly made and do make and appoint this to be my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say first and principally I commend my Soul to God my Creator and Redeemer hoping that I shall be saved by the Precious death and merrits of Christ and my body to be decently buried as my Execr. hereafter named shall think fit and for my worldly Estate as the Lord in his mercy bestowed on me my will is that it shall be bestowed as This my will is Exprest
Item I give to my beloved wife Mary Nall a negro man named Bristoll during her natural Life.
Item I give to my beloved son John Naul ten acres of my Land and the Remainder part of my land I give to my beloved son Martin Naul to them and their heirs for ever.
Item I give all the remainder part of my Estate real and personall to be equally divided among my Eight Children only my wife to have an Equal part of the Personal Estate for her Life and the Eight head of Cattle I lent to my son John and my daughter Winnifret to be in part of their portion and I do appoint my beloved Wife and my cousin Thomas Burke and Thos. Dillard my whole and sole Execrs. of this my last will and testament.

Know all men by these presents that I Robert Aldin of ye County of Middlesex Planter for a Valuable consideracon already recd have bargained & Sould & by these presents doe bargaine & sell unto Thomas Wood of ye aforesd County Planter his Heires & Admrs. ye just Quantaty of fifty acres of land being one halfe of a Tract of land of One hundred acres adjoyneing & bounding on ye Dragon Swampe the sd land beng & laying on ye South of ye Bryery Swampe. To Have & to Hould ye sd Land from any person or persons that may have or shall lay title therein further I ye sd Robert Aldin doe Warrant by me my Heires & Admrs. unto ye above named Thomas Wood his Heires & Peaceable & Quiate Possession & To Have Hould & occupy ye same without any lett or molestation.
