  Obituary (Missouri Valley Times, Dec 1, 1904): Mrs. Sarah Godden, mother of the Godden boys, died at her home east of this city this morning at 6:30, from the effects of a paralytic stroke. She was over 70 years of age, and has been a resident of this county for over 40 years. The funeral will be held from her late home tomorrow at 11 a.m. Obituary (Harrison County News, Dec 6, 1904): The funeral services of Mrs. Sarah Godden were held today at the family home near the Valley. The deceased had been a highly respected resident of Harrison County for nearly 40 years and leaves a family and many friends to mourn her loss. Gravestone says died Nov. 29, 1904, age 80y 3m 22d.
