  he and his wife Sarah were admitted to full communion in the chur Aug. 22, 1725; a tailor; constable in 1728; grand juror in 1745; in 1764 was living in New Haven, but soon after returned to his native place; d Mch. 23, 1781; buried with his kindred in the ancient burial ground on the bank of the Conn. river, where the moss-covered stones, 'With uncouth rhymes, and shapeless sculpture deck'd,' mark the graves of the family."
