1st husband was Edwards, 3rd husband James Largent according to Frederick Co., Va. court records. Information from Patricia Caudy of Portland, Ore. presents that Margaret Stevens "Post". April 1991, letter from Dr. Wilmer Kerns disclosed that in his new book "Historical Records of Old Frederick and Hampshire Co., Va." Margaret married a Mr. James Largent, born circa 1716, son of immigrant John Largent I, born abt 1690 -1738). Researchers and historyians have confused him with a James Largent, who lived at the Forks of Capon, Hampshire Co. According to church records, Kerns said, James Largent of the Forks of Capon was born Sept. 1, 1753, and his parents were John and Elizabeth Largent II (1720 -1806). Margaret Stephens was the daughter of Evan Stephens Jr., His wife's names is unknow, but he was the sonof Evan Stephens Sr., born in Wales probably in the mid-1600's, came to Radnor, Pennsylvania, area about 1683. His wife's name was Elizabeth. He died 14 Aug 1706 in Pennsylvania. His issue: (at least) 1. John 2. Phebe 3. David 4. Stephen 5. Evan Jr., born about 1695 The sources quoted for this are are follows: Hinshaw's Quaker Encyclopedia 2:448 Penn.
