- In the Book of Court Records of early Chester County, PA, at the Carnegie Library, Pittsburgh , is the first known mention of John Milleson.
Chester - 25th, 6 mo, 1702 -- James Serrill, Plff. v. John Milison, Deft., withdrawn.
Chester - 26th, 9 mo, 1702 -- John Sorrill, Plff. v. John Millison, Deft., agreed.
The next record of John Millison was his will, written 8/25/1744 and proved 9/12/1744. In it, he names his wife, Mary and his children, Jonathan; Ann, wife of Thomas Wade; Hannah, wife of George Slone and James.

I, John Millison of the Township of Goshen in the County of Chester and Province of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body, but in perfect mind and memory, praise be God for the same and do hereby constitute this my Last Will and Testament and give my Estate That it has pleased the Lord to give me in this Life in the manner following:
Imp, My will is that as Soon as possible after my decease that all my funeral expenses and just debts be paid by my executor hereafter mentioned.
Secondly, I give and Bequeath to my Loving Wife Mary the sum of six pounds current and lawfull money of Pennsylvania yearly and every year during her natural life or her widowhood which shall first happen and of East end of the house with convenient firewood hawled to the door with ten appletrees and priviliges of coming and going for water at her pleasure and I also give her one cow and the keeping winter and summer with one bed and furniture thereunto belonging also she to have her choice of my household goods to the value of three pound to be pd in mannor thereafter mentioned.
Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my son James Millison the sum of five shillings and no more to be paid by my executor within one year after my decease.
Fourthly, I give and Bequeath to my daughter Ann the wife of Thomas Wade living in Chester the sum of five shillings and no more to be paid by my executor within one year after my decease.
Fifthly, I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah the wife of George Slone now living in Lancaster County one young cow not exceeding three or four year old and fifteen shillings in money to be paid by my executor within one year after my decease.
Sixthly, I give and bequeath unto my son Jonathan Millison his heirs and assigns forever the tract of Land I now live on in the township of Goshen which I purchased of the heirs of Nathaniel Newlin containing ninety acres with forty two acres which I purchased of Clement Plumsted and Samuel Pawd and about ninety acres next adjoining which I purchased of John Taylor of Thornbury in all about two hundred and thirty acres with all the rest of my personal estate both stock and household goods beside what I have already given with the intent only that he at his proper charge pay all my just debts and also pay the six pound per annum to his mother as above said allowing her all the other priviledges therein mentioned as well as to find and maintain her one riding horse during the term above said and after that the estate in land shall be clear to him of all incubrance and to his heirs and assigns.
Lastly, Be it remembered that I also give my loving wife over and above what I have allready given four sheep to be kept at my son Jonathans charge during her naturall life and no longer.
Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Jonathan Millison my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament and do also hereby revoke all other wills by me made and declare them null and void and do constitute this my last will and testament this twenty fifth day of August in the year of Our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and forty four.
