    • John became a freeman at Yarmouth, Massachusetts by taking the oath of fidelity on May 26, 1690. He was granted about 2 acres south of the Ware river, in Yarmouth on March 22, 1693. Tragically John died in October of the same year at about 27 years of age, leaving Bathsheba a widow and a son John, barely 1 year old. Inventoried in John's will were: a house, land, and meadow, onecow, two heifers, a horse, two swine, one bed and bedding, four sheets, four napkins, two chests, a box, one pewter platter, three small porringers, a beaker, two iron pots, a frying pan and a tramell, a gun, lumber, and wearing apparel. The inventory was recorded December 12, 1693.
