  • Notes
    • After the death of her husband in 1795, Mrs. Wise and her family remained in Nelson County, Kentucky until 1800, when "old Drakeford Grey" offered them a job running his mill on Corn Creek, three miles south of Milton on the Bedford Road in what is now Trimble County. Mrs. Wise was ill in 1811 when the Pigeon Roost massacre occured in Indiana. She died that October.
Mr. Gray donated some property near his mill to a Baptist congregation, where the Corn Creek Baptist Church was established. One of the founding members was an Elizabeth Wise.
