According to the 1880 Census in La Salle, Joseph was 18 at the time ofthe enumeration. At the time of the census, Joseph Y. worked at thezinc factory.
the 1900 census placed Hazel with her Aunt Alice and Uncle NelsonWeller. According to Hazel, she was raised by the Weller's.

I did a quick search at ancestry.com and genealogy.com and found him(Joseph Y.) in the Terre Haute, Vigo Co. Indiana Census for 1910 and1920. It looks like his 1st wife died and he remarried ca 1896 toMargaret a widow. He is living with Margaret and a step daughterMerlie Alberta. I am not sure on her first name spelling. Alberta isthe last name. In 1910 Joseph works in a glass factory.

I then found that Joseph died in October 1926 and there was an obitprinted in the Terre Haute Tribune on Oct. 16, 1926. Go to this sitehttp://www.rootsweb.com/~invigo/vigo.htm once there look for theWabash Valley Obits. His second wife, Margaret died in 1950.

The Terre Haute Tribune obituary, Saturday, October 16, 1926, page 2,states:
Joseph Y. Kinsman, aged 65 years, died at 12:20 o'clock this morningat his home, 3000 North Sixth street. He is survived by his widow,Margaret; one daughter, Mrs. George Nichols, of LaSalle, Ill.; onestep-daughter, Mrs. Merile D. Albert; two grandchildren and onestep-grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kinsman; two sisters, Mrs.Emma Wales and Mrs. Harry Bosworth of South Dakota. He was a memberof Euclid lodge, F. and A. M. the K. of P. of Cicero, Ind., and 5564,M. W. A., of Twelve Points. The body was taken to the Thomas funeralhome on North Thirteenth street awaiting word from relatives. Funeralarrangements will be announced later.

The Terre Haute Tribune obituary, Monday, October 18, 1926, page 2,states:
Joseph Kinsman. The funeral of Joseph Kinsman who died Saturday, willbe held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Farmer's chapel, with burialat Woodlawn cemetery. The services will be in charge of Euclid lodge,F. and A.M.

Note from John Steele, Annie Jane was born,according to her death record at the Courthouse, on 31 Mar 1870 (in Mineral Point WI) and died on December 6, 1947. She lived her last few years here in Plankinton, with one of her daughters, Nettie Watson, who, with her husband, was in the grocery store business here. (That information also comes from grandma Esther, not a public record) The death records of both Joseph and Elizabeth give their place ofbirth as "England," without further description.

Anna married BOSWORTH, Harry Thomas 1891. Harry (son of BOSWORTH, Daniel and NEVINS, Ann Eliza Starr) was born Dec 1859, Elysia, Larain County, Ohio; died Yes, date unknown. [Group Sheet]
