Notes:

John became a freeman at Yarmouth, Massachusetts by taking the oath of fidelity on May 26, 1690. He was granted about 2 acres south of the Ware river, in Yarmouth on March 22, 1693. Tragically John died in October of the same year at about 27 years of age, leaving Bathsheba a widow and a son John, barely 1 year old. Inventoried in John's will were: a house, land, and meadow, onecow, two heifers, a horse, two swine, one bed and bedding, four sheets, four napkins, two chests, a box, one pewter platter, three small porringers, a beaker, two iron pots, a frying pan and a tramell, a gun, lumber, and wearing apparel. The inventory was recorded December 12, 1693.

Notes:

By 1740 most of the productive land in and around Cape Cod had been taken, and many familys were lured to the less expensive lands of the Mohawk Valley in Dutchess & Putnam Co., New York.
It appears John and Elizabeth had left Yarmouth by the early 1740s and are likely the family of John Kelly shown in the Dutchess County Southern Tax Records in February 1743/4.

John married CROWELL, Elizabeth 24/24 Feb 1713/1714, Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Elizabeth (daughter of CROWELL, Thomas and JONES, Elizabeth) was born Aug 1692, Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusette; died , Probably Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusette. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

In 1745 Jonathan was one of 40 soldiers from Yarmouth to be attached to the 7th Massachusetts, Regiment under Col. Shubael Gorham during the reduction at Louisburg. Jonathan appears on the Southern Tax Records list from February 1753 through 1771 and on the Fredericksburgh, Dutchess Co. list from 1772 until 1779.

Jonathan married KING, Priscilla Abt 1749. Priscilla (daughter of KING, Ebenezer and MERRICK, Mercy) was born 27 Jul 1732, Harwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died Aft 1 Oct 1805. [Group Sheet]

There is a record of a Shubel Kelly who enlisted in a Regiment of Minute Men of Dutchess Co., New York.

3 males under 10,
2 males between 10 and 16,
1 male between 25 and 45 (presumably himself).

The 7 March 1828 will of Shuball Kelley was witnessed by Wolston Brockway, John Garrison, Francis Baker. Exts. were Jesse Brockway, John Kelley, Shuball Kelley.
