Johannes was a "Master Shoemaker" and belonged to the Evangelical Reformed Church. He Came to America 7, October, 1751 with his wife and four children on the ship "Janet", Captain Jacob Hauswird. Left from Zwesbruecken, Germany. They stayed in Pennsylvania for almost two years then showed up in the Evangelical Reformed Church records in 1753 in Frederick County, Maryland. He showed up on the church records until 1789 and then nothing further. Frederick muster rolls circa 1757. Service with the Hessian Army. He fought Indians in Frederick, Maryland under a Captain Peter Butler. He did not collect what was owed him for his last 34 days of active duty until 1768. He owned land in Tasker's Chance, now Frederick, Maryland.
