  Lassen County authorities are investigating the shooting deaths of a family near Hallelujah Junction. Sheriff's deputies say three people were found shot to death Thursday morning in an area just west of Hallelujah Junction, about 30 miles north of Reno. Investigators say they received a call about shots being fired on Scott Road at 7:25 AM. Two deputies arrived at the property where one family shared three homes. Deputies determined they had a possible hostage situation and called in the Lassen Interagency SWAT team and deputies from the Plumas County Sheriff's Department. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact anyone inside the residence, deputies entered one of the homes and found a man and a woman who had been shot to death. They also found the body of another woman in a second home. The dead have been identified as 71-year-old Henry Sprague, his wife, 65-year-old Patricia Sprague and Patricia's mother, 86-year-old Alta Hall. Investigators haven't determined the circumstances surrounding the homicides, although they did say it appears to be a family-related crime and they believe the deaths were one continuous act. Officials say autopsies will be conducted Friday in order to determine the exact cause of death.
