  Peter S. Wood married first Malinda Sidwell in Illinois in 1824. It is believed they had two children: 1. Stephen W. Wood b.1826, 2. Emaline or Evaline Following Malinda 's death it seems Peter married Hannah Ann Brooks of NY. Their children were: 1. Hanna Jane, b. abt. 1837, IA 2. Napolen Bonaparte, (Uncle Boney), b. abt. 1839, IA 3. Francis Marion, b. abt. 1843, IA - When Peter S. died he left a Will in Iowa. All of the Wood side except Anna Jane moved to California and are buried there. - Peter S. Wood on the 1830 Fulton Co.,IL Fed Census, it showed one male under 5 and one male between 30-40, one female under 5, one female between 10-15 and one female bet, 20-30. - There is a record of a land purchase in Illinois by Peter S. Wood on September 8,1835, of 8000 acres. - Peter's brother Isaac came from Washington Co., NY to help settle Peter's estate. - Peter had a wife Lydia who he left in Washington Co., NY to come to Iowa to be with wife Hannah. Lydia appears to be burried in the Brick Church cemetery at Whitehall NY. It also shows an Isaac buried there. Lydia is described as the wife of Peter S. in the records.
