Witnesses: Jose de Quintana, notary, Jose Lopez (70), AntonioGallegos (35), Vicente Garcia (25) and Antonio Montoya (24), who saidthat the groom had been married to a first cousin of his. Pair married,Sept. 18, 1713, with witnesses Capt. Tiburcio de Ortega, Capt. DiegoMontoya, Capt. Antonio Baca and his wife, Maria de Aragon.

Diego de Padilla was the son of Jose de Padilla and Maria López.
On November 3, 1706, he married Catalina (Gutierrez) de Salazar inBernalillo, New Mexico. She was probably the daughter of FelipeGutierrez and Isabel de Salazar, and died leaving one child.
Diego de Padilla then married, also at Bernalillo, MarÃa Vasquez Baca onSeptember 18, 1713. MarÃa was the daughter of Jose Vasquez de Lara andMarÃa Magdalena Baca.
